Fifty new pages refuse to settle into a single subject, so the book works less like a themed collection and more like a drawer full of good options. Some pages stay simple enough for a distracted evening; others carry enough pattern and texture to earn a longer stretch of attention. Colored pencils suit the finer work, markers cover ground quickly, and a color test page lets you sort that out before committing to anything. There is no correct order to move through it and no obligation to finish one style before starting another. Whatever mood shows up uninvited on a given day, something in here was probably made for it.
